Description

Community radio is an important source of information in Maridi, South Sudan.  MaridiFM keeps people entertained and reports on local and national news.  It is an effective voice, promoting public health and education for girls and young women.  However, it runs on diesel and the motor breaks down regularly.  Thanks to supporters of this gift in 2022, MaridiFM has installed some solar panels, but they want to buy more for a cheaper and more sustainable power supply.  For people who have lived through years of conflict and war, a reliable radio communicates to people who have missed years of education.
