Description

Your gift will support fish workers working to protect their traditional livelihoods along the South Indian coast. The workers collect data which is analysed by scientists to support their cases. Power plants, shrimp farms and big businesses have displaced people from large sections of the coast.   The Coastal Action Network defends the livelihoods of fish workers and the coastal environment through the courts – and sometimes wins. Your gift will fund the research needed in court and for local or state planning.
